The annual Steve Nicholson Memorial Trophy will be held at Northampton Sailing Club on Sunday 29th January 2011 with all proceeds raised going to the Asthma UK charity. Tiger Trophy
The Tiger Trophy was adopted as a regatta to raise money for the John Merricks Sailing Trust (JMST) with a large proportion of the entry fee going directly to the JMST. Three races are sailed back to back on Saturday and the fleet will be divided into fast and slow handicap fleets, with all sailing the same course. This enables average lap times to be established over the whole fleet and an overall winner decided. Following the TIGER DINNER on Saturday evening, the annual Tiger Trophy Pursuit race on Sunday is non-discardable and has for many years been the downfall of some exceptional sailors. The final challenge to win all four races and the special £1000 bounty has still not been met. Prize giving in 2011 will coincide with the opening of the newly constructed John Merricks Training Centre at RSC. More...
 470 Junior World Championships
Held in Doha, Qatar and concluding just before Christmas, SailRacer was pleased to be supporting the 470 Junior World Championships with the event website, including online protest system and SMS mobile messaging. The International 470 Class is continually trying to make its events more accessible to its athletes and working in partnership with the Doha Sailing Club, the 2010 Junior Worlds had equipment supplied with 40 brand new 470 dinghies which were raced on a boat rotation basis.
