Extreme Sailing Series - UK Event
This weekend the Extreme 40s are in Cardiff and for those in the area, a great opportunity to join in some great spectating from the Historic Docks. SailRacer is again proving the scoring systems with progressive analysis, allowing you to follow all the results in near real time.  More...


Navigators and General Mirror Nationals 2012

Former multiple Mirror National Champion, Olympic medallist and Volvo Ocean Race Skipper, Ian Walker, returned to the class with daughter Zoe as crew to win the 2012 Mirror Nationals hosted by Itchenor Sailing Club. Juniors Milly and Nick Pugh pushed hard to take an excellent second, from Isabel Davies and Millie Moss - see all the results and analysis on the SailRacer event site.  More....

Volvo RYA Zone Championships
The end of September will see many of the next generation of sailors competing in the RYA's top event for juniors. Held at nine different venues, for many sailors this will be their first experience of competing at a major championships. It will also give them the chance to be considered for RYA junior squads. Olympic Rankers - Weymouth
The RYA Olympic Classes National Ranking Series will continue to form part of the grant and places Qualification Series for international events and will remain compulsory for sailors on the World Class Olympic Development Programme. Enter via SailRacer


Updates to SailRacer
To meet the exponential growth in traffic we are experiencing across all our websites, which is nearly doubling each year, we are embarking on a programme of updates, with new server capacity at Rackspace. Some of this is already on stream and we will be migrating further services over the Autumn. We are also taking the opportunity to upgrade key functionality and introduce new features. You may have already noticed enhancements to allow easier searching of the extensive SailRacer sailing results database.

If you are attending an event at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, and looking to stay on-site in a Camper Van, you can now book and pay for your space via SailRacer. On receipt of payment we will email you a pdf ticket confirming your booking.  More...

Penultimate Day - Weymouth is full to the brim with the world's best Olympic sailors, with Olympic medallists and World Champions wherever you look. But past performance is no guarantee to success at the next event and tomorrow, Friday, is the day when the top 10 across the Olympic Class fleets who proceed to the final Medal Race on Saturday will be determined. It has been a gruelling four days of racing so far and there is still another day of battle. With many nations counting Skandia Sail for Gold as part of the team selection for the 2012 Olympics, the pressure is immense. So far across the 10 Olympic and 3 Paralympic events, Team Great Britain is dominating at the top of three events – Finn, RSX Women and Sonar, Coming a close second is New Zealand who lead in the 470 Women and RSX Men. Web Traffic – has been immense, yet again showcasing the popularity of Skandia Sail for Gold on the ISAF Sailing World Cup tour. Apologies to fans who were unable to get the latest updates earlier in the week, but the internet pipe out of the venue was full to capacity and went into overload causing significant downtime. Olympic fans don't worry, as a brand new fibre optic cable will be in place for 2012. We are currently hitting 60,000 unique users since the start of the event and 150,000 visitors, and with 2,000 pages of content there is plenty to absorb you in all the action here at Weymouth.

Tracking - don't miss a thing by watching the live tracking of races in Weymouth. Thursday showcased the 470 Men and Women, Finn and Star. Friday will focus on the 49er, Match Racing and the Paralympic fleets. SailRacer and TracTrac have now formed an exclusive partnership to develop the UK and Eire markets.
